The Biomimetic Systems for cell engineering group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to participate in the development of the project “Engineering Complex Intestinal Epithelial Tissue Models” (ERC-Consolidator Grant).
L’ex estudiant de doctorat de l’IBEC Ariadna Bartra ha estat guardonada amb un premi PIONER atorgat per CERCA.
La tesi doctoral, realitzada per l’estudiant en el grup “Signal and Information Processing for Sensing Systems”, i titulada “Detecció d’estats inadequats per la conducció d’un vehicle a partir de la degradació del control dinàmic”, va ser seleccionada per la seva “aplicabilitat directa i enfocament de mercat, així com pel seu impacte en la millora de la seguretat vial”, segons el jurat. La seva recerca, duta a terme en el grup del Santiago Marco, està connectada amb l’alarma de somnolencia del conductor, desenvolupada per l’IBEC i l’empresa Ficosa.
Samuel Sánchez, professor investigador ICREA a l’Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (IBEC), va ser anunciat ahir guanyador del Premi Nacional de Recerca al Talent Jove 2016 que atorga el Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya i la Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRi).Aquest premi reconeix als joves investigadors que han destacat en la seva trajectòria professional per la qualitat i excel·lència del seu treball, i compta amb una dotació econòmica de 10.000 €.

Els investigadors principals de l’IBEC Eduard Torrents i Elisabeth Engel van ser premiats la setmana passada durant l’esdeveniment de l’EIT Health Spain que va tenir lloc al PCB.El projecte de l’Eduard, Novel Antimicrobial Therapy, va guanyar el primer premi en la categoria ‘PoC+’ dels premis Proof of Concept (PoC+) de l’EIT health Spain, i en la categoria ‘PoC’, Elisabeth va guanyar un premi perDermoglass, els apòsits intel·ligents per al tractament de ferides cròniques.

The Nanobioengineering and Nanoscopy for Nanomedicine groups at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop the project EuroNanoMed-2.
Dos projectes de l’IBEC han rebut finançament en la convocatòria del 2016 del programa CaixaImpulse, que organitza la Fundació ‘la Caixa’ i la Caixa Capital Risc.El projecte ‘Solid tumor therapy’ de Pere Roca-Cusachs, investigador principal del grup Cellular and molecular mechanobiology, i ‘ISCHEMSURG’, dirigit per la investigadora sènior Mónica Mir del grup Nanobioengineering de Josep Samitier, rebran respectivament 70,000€ al llarg del programa anual, que té com a objectiu promoure la transferència de tecnologia en ciència.

The Nanoscale Biolectrical Characteritzation group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Early Stage Researcher (PhD student) to develop his PhD thesis project on the development of a novel Nano-tomographic technique based on electrostatic force microscopy. The contract will be within the framework of the SPM2.0 Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network (MSCA-ITN-2016-721874), whose objective is to train a new generation of early stage researchers in the most advanced Scanning Probe Microscopy techniques.
