The Mothers of Science programme offers supporting grants and coaching sessions to talented BIST women researchers to recognise their roles as scientists and mothers, and to support them along their way to becoming pioneers in their fields.

IBEC researchers Marina Inés Giannotti and Nina Yu. Kostina were two of the nine winners in this fourth edition. The programme aims to contribute in addressing the gender gap that exists in group leader positions, as the number of women in most academic institutions diminishes as their research careers progress.

Ensuring a balance between work and household responsibilities is crucial for sustaining a gratifying and wholesome professional and personal life.
