Descobreixen un mecanisme per creuar la barrera protectora del cervell
Un estudi internacional dirigit per l’investigador de l’IBEC Giuseppe Battaglia ha identificat el mecanisme i les condicions que permeten que les molècules travessin de manera eficient la barrera hematoencefàlica, la capa protectora del cervell. Aquest estudi descriu el paper de la proteïna LRP1, aclarint el camí que permet l’entrada segura i eficient de fàrmacs al cervell.
