Purchasing Officer

Introduction to the vacant position:

The purchasing Department is integrated into the Finance Unit of IBEC

The aim of purchasing area is to handle all items (good and services) that are needed in the IBEC in accordance with the Public Sector Contract Law (LCSP 9/2017)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The Purchasing Officer is the responsible for managing the purchase and following the procurements signed, contact providers to obtain status updates on orders and expedite deliveries, selecting the best option on the basis of quality service and price, as well as guaranteeing the level of service provided by the products assigned and helping to draw up the budget.

Its functions and responsibilities will consist of:

  • Manage and process procurement activities for IBEC, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
  • Manage tracking and monitoring of purchase orders to ensure delivery times.
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery terms
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and other relevant data in the ERP system.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis

Requirements for candidates:

  • Higher Vocational Training in the Professional Family of Administration and Management – Advanced Level in Administration and Finance
  • Experience in SAP Business One
  • High level of English
  • Competences and skills: Communication, planning, organization, teamwork, analytical capacity, pro activity, flexibility and adaptation to changes

Additional experience that will be also valuable:

  • Previous experience in one or more of the following:  
  • Between 4/5 years purchasing experience
  • Experience in procurements and LCSP 9/2017

  • Starting date: July  2025
  • Working conditions:
    • Full-time, Permanent position.  Specific Rate of Replacement for the stabilization of temporary work, requested by the Administration of the Generalitat based on the Law 2/2023, of march 16, and the Law 31/2022, of December 23, on general State budgets for the year 2023, both currently extended.
    • Salary will be commensurate with previous experience.
    • Measures to reconcile work and family life (flexible schedule working hours, teleworking, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).
