The People Management Unitis looking for a People Operations Officer to support our scientific staff, carry out administrative HR functions and provide support to implement IBEC’s Policies.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Its functions and responsibilities will consist of:
As a People Operations Officer you will ensure the implementation of HR policies and procedures advising IBEC members during their employee life cycle. You will be a key contact person of various research groups and will work in a proactive way supporting the group leaders in their teams.
You will be in charge of:
- Provide first-line support to the researchers and research management staff in everything that has to do with the employee life cycle, internal customer service and day-to-day operations.
- Oversee payroll and manage employment contracts in coordination with an external payroll and contract management service provider.
- Onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Manage and disseminate job advertisements. Support in recruitment, Selection and Employer Branding.
- Implement all types of HR policies, processes and procedures giving advice to IBEC members.
- Management and maintenance of the different HR databases. Support to reporting ensuring the integrity of HR data.
- Support the Talent Development Officer with the preparation of training subsidies of Fundae in collaboration with our external provider.
- Contribute with new ideas and solutions aimed at improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and digitalization of HR processes.
- Support in preparing economic and labour information for audits and justifications of scientific projects.
- Support in the implementation of HR strategic actions (Human Resources Strategy of the European Commission).
- Support the Head of the Unit in other people management and administration functions.
Requirements for candidates:
Essential:
- University degree in labour relations, humanities or social sciences.
- Minimum two years’ experience in an HR Department with general understanding of HR processes and policies in an international context.
- Full command in Spanish and English.
- Excel advanced user and used to work with HR metrics.
- Passion to work with people.
- Competencies: Communication, proactivity, customer orientation, orientation to detail, planning and organizational skills, teamwork, creativity to find unique solutions and ability to implement them.
Advantageous:
- General knowledge of payroll.
- Experience in an international research institution.
- Knowledge of SAP.
