Varias investigaciones del IBEC publicadas en PlosOne ofrecen un paso hacia un mejor diagnóstico en pacientes con asma y enfermedades pulmonares obstructivas.

El nuevo enfoque integrado para el análisis del sonido respiratorio adventicio continuo (CAS, del inglés continuous adventitious respiratory sound), desarrollado por el grupo de Investigación e Interpretación de Señales Biomédicas de Raimon Jané, en colaboración con el Instituto de Investigación Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP), facilita la detección de los casos positivos en la práctica clínica.
