L’IBEC rep el segell TECNIO per impulsar la transferència tecnològica a empreses

L´IBEC es troba entre els sis centres catalans que han rebut el segell TECNIO d’aquest any. l’acreditació que identifica les entitats catalanes que desenvolupen i faciliten tecnologia a empreses.

La Generalitat de Catalunya, a través d’ACCIÓ –l’agència per a la competitivitat de l’empresa, depenent del Departament d’Empresa i Coneixement–, ha acreditat a l´Institut de Bioneginyeria de Catalunya (IBEC) amb el segell TECNIO. Enguany, ACCIO ha acreditat sis centres R+D+i catalans amb aquest segell.

El projecte ISCHEMSURG rep l’impuls de l’AGAUR

El projecte ISCHEMSURG, que persegueix combatre la isquèmia associada a la cirurgia regenerativa, ha rebut finançament de l’Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR) destinats a l’obtenció de prototipus i a la valorització i transferència dels resultats d’investigació.

ISCHEMSURG desenvoluparà un sensor electroquímic miniaturitzat per al control no invasiu en temps real de la isquèmia tissular en el postoperatori. Aquesta tecnologia aportarà una solució efectiva i assequible a aquesta necessitat encara no resolta.

Researchers from the IBEC develop a Virtual Reality system to treat speech disorders

Researchers from the IBEC have developed a virtual reality-based system for rehabilitating patients with Broca’s aphasia. RGSa has been proven to improve communicative frequency and effectiveness in daily life, as well as sustaining improvements in testing after an 8-week period.

Rehabilitation to recover speech after brain damage is efficient, provided that it is carried out intensively, and can be included in relevant behavioural tasks. However, limited resources in healthcare systems cannot always provide said treatment in sufficient doses. Achieving a cost-effective, evidence-based rehabilitation method is one of the objectives targeted by the SPECS research group.

The Molecular Bionics group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Postdoctoral candidate to be involved to deliver the development of new biodegradable polymers. The study is embedded within a new laboratory of Chemistry focusing on setting-up synthetic protocols that are easy to translate into clinical development ensuring safety and biocompatibility of the polymers.

L’IBEC participa en cuatre dels cinc 2018 BIST Ignite Grants que s’atorguen a projectes de recerca multidisciplinària

Quatre projectes coordinats per 2 investigadors principals i 2 investigadors de l’IBEC han aconseguit financiació a través del programa BIST Ignite Grants.

El BIST Ignite Programme és una eina que serveix per a fomentar la recerca multidisciplinària entre els membres del BIST. L’objectiu del programa és promoure noves col·laboracions entre els diferents membres de la comunitat BIST; facilitant l’intercanvi de coneixement entre els diferents camps de la ciència, explorant nous enfocaments. Els projectes que poden optar a les beques han d’explorar noves preguntes i reptes tecnològics a través de nous enfocaments amb una visió multidisciplinària.

IBEC is a partner in four out of five 2018 BIST Ignite Grants awarded to multidisciplinary research projects

The BIST Ignite Programme is a mechanism to foster multidisciplinary research among the BIST members. Its goal is to promote new collaboration between its partners, facilitating the exchange of knowledge among different scientific fields and exploring new approaches.

The projects that can be eligible for the grants must pursue the exploration of new questions and technological challenges through novel multidisciplinary approaches. The selected projects are granted with 20.000€ each and researchers will have 8 months to develop their projects.

Mètode sense motlles per a generar un model 3D de teixit intestinal mitjançant hidrogels

El grup Sistemes Biomimètics per enginyeria cel·lular, dirigit per Elena Martínez, ha desenvolupat un nou mètode per a generar teixit intestinal en 3D mitjançant l’ús d’hidrogels. Aquest nou model in vitro s’ha pogut millorar proporcionant a les cèl·lules un entorn fisiològicament realista, que inclou arquitectura tissular, interaccions cèl·lula-matriu i senyalització química, sense deixar de ser compatibles amb les tècniques estàndard de caracterització cel·lular.

Els teixits epitelials contenen microtopografies tridimensionals complexes que són essencials per a desenvolupar correctament la seva funció.

Laboratory Technician at the Nanobioengineering Research Group

The Nanobioengineering group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Laboratory Technician position for electrochemistry with strong background in Sensors development.

The contract will be within the framework of a PRODUCTO project, whose objective is to develop a reliable implantable electrochemical sensor for minimum invasive in vivo monitoring based on pH, Oxygen and impedance sensors.

L’Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (IBEC) requereix incorporar un/-a tècnic/-a de laboratori per a les MicroFab & Microscopy Facilities , part de la unitat de Core Facilities de l’IBEC, que te la funció de proporcionar serveis i suport diaris als usuaris de sala blanca on es fabriquen i caracteritzen microdispositius i estructures per a aplicacions biomèdiques, i suport un servei de caracterització per microscòpia SEM i confocal.
