An article about the EU-funded project Plantoid – which aims to design subterranean robots for soil exploration and monitoring that draw inspiration from plants – has appeared on the European Research Media Center’s website youris.com.
In the article, IBEC Director and Nanobioengineering group leader Josep Samitier describes the project, which tackles the problems of how to move in 3D space with limitations and how to obtain and process information very quickly, much like when clinicians use an endoscope inside the body of patient.
