Dos Júniors se consolidan como Group Leaders
Lorenzo Albertazzi y Núria Montserrat, Group Leaders Júnior del IBEC, seleccionados en el Programa Tenure Track 2015, se han consolidado conéxito como Group Leaders desde el 1 de enero de 2019, después de ser evaluados positivamente por el ISC.
El Programa Tenure Track del IBEC tiene como objetivo sar soporte al desarrollo profesional, apoyando a jóvenes investigadores a establecer sus propias líneas de investigación independientes. También se consideran otros factores, como por ejemplo el valor añadido que aportan sus proyectos al actual programa de investigación del IBEC, así como su capacidad de liderazgo y gestión eficiente del grupo.
Los primeros cuatro Group Leaders Júnior seleccionados por el Programa el año 2012, —Eduard Torrents, Elisabeth Engel, Pere Roca-Cusachs y Xavier Fernández-Busquets— se consolidaron con éxito como Group Leaders Sènior el 1 de enero de 2017.

El grup Smart nano-bio-devices de l’IBEC —els experts en micro i nanorobots de l’Institut— han utilitzat la bioimpressió 3D per produir «biorobots» fabricats amb elements biològics, com ara el teixit muscular.Aquests dispositius robòtics tous d’inspiració biològica poden oferir moltes més capacitats en termes de moviment i rendiment —com poden ser la biosensibilitat en temps real, l’autoorganització, l’adaptabilitat o l’autorregeneració— que els sistemes actuals, que utilitzen únicament materials artificials.
“La robòtica amb dispositius tous d’inspiració biològica és una nova disciplina fascinant que pot ajudar-nos a superar les limitacions dels sistemes robòtics convencionals, com ara la flexibilitat, la capacitat de reacció i l’adaptabilitat”, diu Samuel Sánchez, responsable del grup a l’IBEC i professor d’investigació ICREA.
