The nanodevices group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Research Assistant to work in the fabrication and development of bio-actuators based on skeletal muscle tissue. The Research Assistant will join the working group of bio-bots and will work alongside the rest of the team in highly multidisciplinar projects in the line of research.

El IBEC lidera un proyecto europeo para evaluar la respuesta a fármacos en dispositivos de órgano-en-un-chip
Un grupo de investigadores del Instituto de Bioingeniería de Cataluña (IBEC) lidera el proyecto europeo BLOC, una iniciativa capitaneada por los investigadores Javier Ramón e Irene Marco que busca evaluar la respuesta a distintos fármacos en enfermedades metabólicas usando dispositivos de órgano-en-un-chip mediante resonancia magnética nuclear (RMN). Para ello, el consorcio contará con un presupuesto de casi 3 millones de euros, financiados por el programa FET Open de Horizon 2020.

The Director of IBEC carries out multidisciplinary activities, both at the level of research and management of the Institute. It has an international agenda, relating to other Research Centers, Universities, Industry, Hospitals and Governing Bodies, both nationally and internationally. He leads different committees inside and outside IBEC. He has an intense travel schedule, participating as a speaker and as a member of several scientific assessment committees

El Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades concede al IBEC financiación para una plataforma analítica de alto rendimiento. Compuesta por tres equipos que funcionarán de forma integrada y automatizada, esta plataforma única permitirá la caracterización cualitativa y cuantitativa de nanopartículas y macromoléculas.
