El grupo de Signal and Information Processing for Sensing Systems ha descubierto una nueva técnica analítica que se puede usar para medir los cannabinoides en plantas y tabaco. Trabajando con la Universidad de Córdoba, el grupo de Santiago Marco abordó las limitaciones de las técnicas analíticas actuales utilizadas para determinar los cannabinoides en las plantas Cannabis sativa L., que en su mayoría se basan en la cromatografía – que implica la separación de los componentes de un fluido.
