IBEC lanzará Faster Future, una nueva iniciativa de financiación colectiva, durante el Giving Tuesday

La semana que viene IBEC lanzará Faster Future, una nueva iniciativa de recaudación de fondos que busca acelerar y llevar a la práctica clínica determinados proyectos que se encuentran en una fase avanzada de investigación.

Este año, Faster Future recaudará fondos para el dispositivo de medicina personalizada para la distrofia muscular que se está desarrollando en el grupo Biosensors for Bioengineering del Dr. Javier Ramon. Su “músculo en un chip” utilizará las propias células del paciente para estudiar la distrofia miotónica tipo 1 (DM1), una enfermedad neuromuscular de incapacitación progresiva, que comienza en la edad adulta y que afecta a 50,000 personas sólo en España.
