SOMMa despega en Madrid

Ayer se reunieron en Madrid los Directores y representantes de los 25 centros Severo Ochoa de España – incluyendo a Josep Samitier, de IBEC – y de las 16 unidades de María de Maeztu para lanzar SOMMa, una alianza destinada a elevar el perfil nacional e internacional de la ciencia en España.

La secretaria de Estado de I+D+I, Carmen Vela, presidió la reunión inicial, que definió el plan estratégico y de trabajo para los próximos meses. Luis Serrano, director del Centro de Regulación Genómica de Barcelona, ​​encabezará la alianza en los próximos dos años, mientras que Teresa García-Milá, directora de la Graduate School of Economics de Barcelona, ​​será su vicepresidenta.

SOMMa alcanzará su objetivo promoviendo el intercambio de conocimiento, tecnología y mejores prácticas entre sus centros y unidades y con la comunidad científica internacional y otras partes interesadas, cooperando con otros centros de investigación en España para fortalecer el sistema de I+D+I, y participando en la política científica española y europea.
