La Plataforma Española de Nanomedicina coordinada por el IBEC recibe un nuevo impulso

La Plataforma Española de Nanomedicina (Nanomed Spain) ha renovado la “Ayuda a las Plataformas Tecnológicas y de Innovación” para el periodo 2021-2022 otorgada por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación. Josep Samitier, director del Instituto de Bioingeniería de Cataluña, coordina la plataforma Nanomed Spain desde su fundación, en 2005.

Un estudio publicado en la revista eLife analiza todas las posibles mutaciones en el péptido beta amiloide para determinar cómo influyen en su agregación y formación placas, un sello patológico de la enfermedad de Alzheimer. También ayudará a los investigadores a comprender mejor los mecanismos biológicos que controlan la aparición de la enfermedad.
