Bitrack is the new surgical robot launched by the Catalan company Rob Surgical, a spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and IBEC. The tests, carried out at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, are the first step in validating the safety and efficacy of the robot after several animal tests. The surgeries (radical nephrectomies) have been carried out and performed satisfactorily without any adverse events. The company is confident that it will be able to commercialize the robot in 2024.
