Tasks and responsibilities:
-Modify sensing surfaces by (bio)functionalizations with enzymes or inorganic nanomaterials
-Characterize sensors by electrochemical, optical and microscopy techniques
-Optimize working conditions
-Optical and electrochemical measurements to test sensors for the detection of disease biomarkers
Requirements for candidates:
– Degree in Chemistry, Physical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nanoscience or similar
– Experience in one or more of the following are required: electrochemical measurements, bio-functionalizations, synthesis of inorganic nanoparticles. Knowledge of microfabrication and 3D printing are a plus.
– High level of English
– Critical approach, communication skills and high motivation for scientific research
– Excellent team working in an international and multidisciplinary environment
We Offer:
-Possible stay within 2018-2019 (minimum 6 months, ideally 8-10 months). Start date: December 2018
-Possibility to develop a Master Final Project (Treball Final de Màster).
