The high performance analytical platform for the qualitative and quantitative characterization of nanoparticles and macromolecules is composed of 3 equipment that work in an integrated and automated way.
With these new state-of-the-art equipment for chemical characterization, IBEC reseachers could quantitatively characterize nanoparticles, based on size, shape, surface charge, chemical composition, as well as study the interaction of proteins and drug encapsulation.
The management of the platform will be carried out jointly by Prof. Giuseppe Battaglia’s group (Molecular Bionics) and the Core Facilities Unit.
More information about the platform’s access protocol will be posted soon.
The acquisition of the equipment for the platform has been possible thanks to the subsidy granted by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) – Plan Estatal I+D+I 2017-2020, (EQC 2019-005937-P).
