Postdoctoral researcher at the Protein Phase Transitions in Health and Disease Research group

Introduction to the vacant position:

The Protein Phase Transitions in Health and Disease Research Group is looking for one Postdoctoral Researchers to develop deep mutagenesis projects in the context of amyloid forming proteins and liquid-liquid phase separation. The contract will be within the framework of a larger project funded by La Caixa.

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will:

  • Design and build large mutational libraries
  • Select them in yeast and human cell lines
  • Develop new fluorescent-based reporters of protein aggregation and condensation
  • Analyze sequencing data

Requirements for candidates:

  • PhD in yeast genetics/protein biophysics/genomics
  • Computational skills (R, Python)
  • Other skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.
  • High level of English

  • Working conditions:
  • Full-time contract for 3 years
