Organized by the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) and Obra Social “la Caixa”, ‘Investiga amb RecerCaixa!’ promotes school pupils’ interest in science and helps them carry out projects associated with real research projects funded under the RecerCaixa programme, such as IBEC’s Robotics group’s InHands project, which Emili was representing.
In the auditorium full of fifth and sixth grade students, Emili explained why he decided to become a researcher, told the assembled kids a little bit about the daily life of a scientist, and outlined the concept and goals of the InHands project, whose researchers will now offer guidance and support to will help the children complete their related projects during this school year.
