Miguel, a postdoc in Josep Planell’s Bio/non-bio interactions for regenerative medicine group, and Gabriel, head of the Nanoscale bioelectrical characterization group, ran some of the grueling 42km race together to hit the finish line in 4 hours 15 minutes, and 4 hours, 15 minutes and 24 seconds respectively.
“This was my fourth marathon, and compared to other years I didn’t do quite as well as I’d hoped, because after the 35km mark it got quite tough,” commented Gabriel afterwards. “But in any case, it was very nice to share many kilometres with Miguel, and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.”
“It was my second marathon, and for sure it won´t be the last one,” added Miguel. “Maybe next year we can have more IBECers running together.”
