The HUBc ‘Campus of Excellence’ organized the meeting to examine the most significant issues in biological, medical and technological innovation on the subject healthy ageing, which is becoming a chief priority for health professionals and policy-makers. A worldwide representation of professionals with recognized expertise in the topic contributed to the two-day meeting.
IBEC was also present by special invitation at another important health-related event during the week, the Jornada ‘Retos tecnológicos e I+D+i biotecnológica y biomédica en la sanidad catalana’, organised by Medical Economics magazine and the Generalitat. Junior group leader Elisabeth Engel contributed to the day with a talk on ‘Aplicaciones de la nanomedicina a la práctica clínica’ and by taking part in a round table discussion.
