Introduction to the vacant position:
The Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Group is looking for a Laboratory Assistant. The contract will be within the framework of the Biomeld Research and Innovation Action (RIA) project, funded by the European Union (Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement number 101070328).
Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:
- Cell culture in 2D (thawn, expansion, and freezing processes).
- Fabrication and maintenance of 3D cell-laden hydrogels.
- 3D bioprinting.
- Biological characterization of the 3D cultures: immunofluorescence staining, qRT-PCRs.
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment: biohood, waterbath and cells incubator.
- Aliquots and culture media preparation.
Requirements for candidates:
- Experience in: mammalian cell culture in 2D and 3D, 3D bioprinting (highly desired),
- CAD, immunofluorescence staining,
- Fluorescence microscopy, qRT-PCR.
