Coinciding with the celebration of 11 February, the Day of Girls and Women in Science, Nuria Montserrat is one of the three protagonists of the Constantes y Vitales campaign entitled “Chicas, la Ciencia nos necesita” (Girls, Science Needs Us) on La Sexta. This campaign will aim to build female role models to help break gender stereotypes and awaken scientific interest among girls and adolescents, and also seeks to inspire female scientific leadership.
On the other hand, Zaida Álvarez has appeared on El Suplement de Catalunya Ràdio to denounce the lack of consideration that women suffer in the scientific world: “I have had to do twice as much work, twice as many experiments, twice as many hours to prove that I am just as capable as men”.
