In addition to poster sessions, selected contributors will have the opportunity to introduce and attract attention to their work with an additional flash presentation (3 minutes max). A committee will decide which poster contributions will have a flash presentation.
This year’s speakers will include IBEC’s José Antonio del Río and Pau Gorostiza, Antoine Ferreira ( Institut PRISME, France), Herman Gaub (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Germany), Mike Hughes (University of Surrey) and Matthias Lutolf (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL)).
For the first time the event will be followed by a day-long workshop on 19 October, Nanomedicine for healthy ageing, which will be co-organized with Biopol’H and HUBc. The dates have been chosen to tie in with the 2011 European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) Annual Meeting, which IBEC also co-organizes, which will take place in Barcelona on 20-21 October.
