The project goes deep into the new pharmacological concept of light-controlled drugs (photopharmacology), including how to regulate their effectiveness and the spatial and temporal distribution of their physiological effects. It’s hoped that the results of this study will be relevant to personalised medicine and the development of patient-specific therapies.
