NANOJASP 2010 (“Nanomaterials based biosensors and biosystems: Improving the quality and security of citizen’s life”) provides a chance for Spanish and Japanese scientists working in the design and application of biosensors and systems based on nanotechnologies to get together and exchange ideas.
IBEC’s associate director Josep Samitier is an invited speaker and will talk about
the BOND Project, and information about IBEC will be available to the visitors from Japan and those closer to home. Due to shared strengths in the fields of materials science IBEC maintains close links with the Japanese research community, and in 2009 the institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a major Japanese centre, NIMS (the National Institute for Materials Science).
More details about NANOJASP 2010, which is also supported by the Spanish government’s Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, can be found at www.regonline.co.uk/nanojasp_2010.
