The european project BRIGHTER in the media

Researchers from the group of Biomimetic Systems for cell engineering of the Institute for Bioengineering of Cataunya, led by Elena Martínez, appear in the media for their innovative BRIGHTER project, which uses 3D bioprinting technology to create human tissues and thus avoid the use of animals.

The BRIGHTER project makes use of 3D printing for biomedical purposes. In this case, it creates a tissue as complex as human skin with the aim of being used in the pharmaceutical industry, thus reducing animal experimentation.

Diario de Córdoba

Our innovative 3D bioprinting system not only achieves tissues that are closer to the real ones, but it is also much faster than current systems.
