A new name for the AO group

The group formerly known as Artificial Olfaction believes the change is necessary to better reflect the aims and scientific strategy of the lab.

“We feel that our study of artificial olfaction is merely a subset of our much broader range of research activities at IBEC,” explains Santi. “As well as developing biomimetic olfactory systems, we also develop signal and information processing solutions for diverse physical and chemical spectrometries and even mechanical sensors for a variety of biomedical uses.”
