The nanodevices group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Senior Researcher to supervise and carry out research activities in the nano-bio- projects of the Group. The contract will be within the framework of nanobioteam, whose objective is the development of nano- micro- and milli scaled robots for biomedical applications.

The Biomimetics Systems for Cell Engineering< group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Laboratory technician to support technically PhDs and Post-docs in their corresponding projects.

The contract will be within the framework of the INDUCT project, whose objective is to generate “in vitro” intestinal models to study the influence of the intestinal subepithelial myofibroblasts on the intestinal epithelial migration.

Elena Martínez from IBEC granted by the European Commission to bring research to the market

Elena Martínez, Group Leader at IBEC and UB Professor, has been awarded the prestigious “Proof of Concept” grant of the European Research Council (ERC). With her “GUT3D-PLATE” project, Martínez and her team at the “Biomimetic systems for cell engineering” group will further develop technology to fabricate ready-to-commercialize 3D cell culture substrates mimicking the intestinal physiology.

Núria Montserrat en “El País con tu futuro”

Núria Montserrat, investigadora principal del grupo “Pluripotencia para la regeneración de órganos” dio una inspiradora charla ayer sobre bioingeniería y regeneración de órganos, ante más de 1500 estudiantes de bachillerato. Durante su charla explicó como des de pequeña era una niña muy curiosa, quería entender como funcionaban las cosas que la rodeaban y en cómo se inspira en la naturaleza para realizar su trabajo.
