Great success of the 100tífiques event

Last February 11, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, more than 20 IBEC researchers gave talks in different schools around Catalonia. The objective of the meetings between researchers and students was to bring science closer to schools and to vindicate female scientific talent.

Research in the Biomaterials for Regenerative Therapies group is devoted to the development and knowledge transfer to industry and innovative biomaterials and scaffolds for tissue regeneration.

Nanomedicine against cancer brings together hundred experts

Nanomed, the Spanish nanomedicine platform coordinated by the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), organized with the Germans Trias i Pujol Institute (IGTP), the sixth edition of a conference designed to present the advances against cancer, from early diagnosis and controlled drug release, up to nanoparticle radiation therapy.

Senior Researcher the Biomaterials for Regenerative Therapies Research Group

The Biomaterials for regenerative therapies group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is searching for a Senior Research to work on the development and testing of new bioinks for 3D bioprinting.
The contract will be within the framework of the BASE3D project (co-funded with FEDER funds). The project, based on 3D printing, has the objective of creating 3D printed constructs for skeletal regeneration.

IBEC participates in European Project developing new technologies for the study and treatment of neurological diseases

Pau Gorostiza and his team at IBEC participates in the DEEPER project which aims at creating new tools for accessing the deep brain with unprecedented precision for the study and treatment of neurological diseases. The project involves 12 partners in 8 countries, and it has been funded by the European Union with approximately 5.7 million euros for the next 4 years.
