Bioengineering for Emergent and Advanced Therapies at the 17th IBEC Symposium

IBEC’s 17th Annual Symposium focused on ‘Bioengineering for Emergent and Advanced Therapies’, one of IBEC’s key application areas. Around 300 people attended the event, including local and international researchers. It was a multidisciplinary environment in which experts from other centres and the IBEC community itself had the opportunity to present their projects and share knowledge.

Bioengineering for future medicine in the 16th IBEC Symposium

IBEC’s 16th annual Symposium focused on ‘Bioengineering for Future and Precision Medicine,’ one of IBEC’s three key application areas. Approximately 300 people attended the event, including local and international researchers. It provided a multidisciplinary environment where experts from other institutions and the IBEC community had the opportunity to present their projects and exchange knowledge.

14th IBEC Symposium brings international experts and 300 attendees together

International experts and three hundred registered attendees met in the 14th IBEC Symposium, dedicated to regenerative therapies. Organised by the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), speakers presented the latest advances in mini-organs, organs on a chip, 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering, among others.

Greener than ever: IBEC launches its sustainability strategy

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) presents its strategy for sustainability which is committed to promote more sustainable practices in research and administration. With this initiative IBEC, an international excellence center focused on bioengineering solutions for health, takes the lead to fight climate change, pollution and non-sustainable practices with more strategy and actions.

During the 13th IBEC Symposium, the keynote speaker Robert Langer, Professor of the Technological Institute of Massachusetts (MIT) and Director of its biomedical engineering laboratory, gave an interview to the journalist Cristina Sáez for the SINC agency.

Great success of the 13th IBEC Symposium

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) organized from the 27th to the 28th October its 13th Symposium. The event, that this year took place for the first time online, was focused on Bioengineering for Future & Precision Medicine. With more than 400 registered attendees, 18 flash presentations and 106 posters, the event also counted with contributions from top international speakers such as Robert Langer from the MIT, Ada Cavalcanti of the University of Heidelberg or Raquel Yotti, Director of the Carlos III Health Institute, among others.
